The following units report to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Strategy.
Community and Government Relations
The Community and Government Relations Office provides strategic support to the chancellor in building strong relationships and partnerships with key external groups, organizations, and individuals with a special emphasis in the state government and the Champaign-Urbana community.
Office of the Senate
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Senate is a legislative body composed of about 200 faculty, 50 students, and 10 academic professional members. Duties of Senate committees are specified in the Senate Bylaws.
Strategic Communications and Marketing
StratCom supports the foundation for all internal and external communications and marketing at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. From special events and media relations to photography and social media, StratCom tells the stories that connect the university to the state, nation and world.
Strategic Project Management Office
The SPMO oversees universitywide initiatives aimed at improving the delivery and quality of business services, providing the leadership and unique skills needed to facilitate the successful completion of strategic projects and other improvement efforts.
Pre K-12 Initiatives
This unit is responsible for initiating, coordinating, and advancing work aligned with the university’s Pre K–12 educational initiatives. It is led by Rod Wyatt, jrwyatt2@illinois.edu.
